POSITION PROFILE: Residential Garage Door & Service Sales
Job Purpose
The Residential Sales & Customer Support person will report to the Manager of Residential Sales, be a part of the Residential Team and focus on:
- To increase sales of service to current and new customers
- To participate in the overall sales development for the Residential Division in Raleigh and Fayetteville
- Support existing customers and current staff to enhance customer service and grow sales
Key Responsibilities
- Cold calling to sell – Garage door sales & Preventive Maintenance Plans
- Respond to calls for quotes on sales & service issues
- Complete call activity reporting and other information as requested by the Manger of Residential Sales
- Prepare final quotes for customers that meets minimum GP margin requirements
- Completing the sales checklist to assure proper material ordering & installation and perform follow up site inspections as needed
- Refer customers (tract builders) that do not meet minimum margin requirements to the Manager of Residential Sales for direct company follow up
- Collecting deposits and final payments as needed (per company policy)
Position Requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organization skills with attention to detail
- Highly productive and team-oriented individual
- Must be a self-starter who learns independently, displays initiative and creativity
- Ability to prioritize to maximize productivity
- Must be able to complete sales process paperwork and follow guidelines
- Must demonstrate flexibility in order to meet needs in a changing environment
- Ability to work with all levels of the organization
- Ability to build and document in a database a service clientele list
- A skills assessment and aptitude test may be performed for all job finalist
Key Measurements of Success
- Three years sales experience a plus or equivalent experience
- Construction Industry experience preferably in the door industry
- This position is salary/commissioned based
